Nothing can show the real India like temple and rituals. Varanasi is the placenta of Hinduism in India. Hindus consider River Ganges as the river from heaven. Many temples were built along the side the river and even today, the people are more connected with the river. Buddha’s early life after enlightenment is very much connected to Sarnath. Many years after the life of Lord Buddha, numerous kings visited Saranth to build stupas and monuments. Bodhgaya and Gaya are linked to both Hinduism and Buddhism. Allahabad is the place where three iconic rivers of India meet and it is considered as a sacred spot by Hindus. The tour stretches for six days and five nights.

Arrival - Varanasi Sightseeing

A representative will pick you up from the railway station or airport and escort you to a pre-booked hotel. The rest of the day is free until sunset. You can take up shopping in Varanasi street shops that can be found in many places. By evening, you will be escorted to Dashashwamedh Ghat to witness the foremost attraction of Varanasi, Ganga Aarti. Priests gather near the ghat and perform synced rituals. By the end of the ceremony, thousands of people who are watching the ritual from the banks of the river place a small oil lamp on a leaf and let it float on the river. You will be able to find thousands of such lamps floating on the river, which will look like the sky with burning stars.

Some prefer to watch the Aarti from a boat on the river. Since the ghat will be very crowded during the ghat, it is the most preferred option too. However, the cost of the boat ride during this Aarti will be high due to the demand. After Aarti, you will be escorted back to the hotel. Overnight stay in Varanasi.

Varanasi Sightseeing - Sarnath - Varanasi

Before breakfast, you will be taken on a boat ride on the river Ganges to enjoy the rising sun, rituals along the side of the river and the ghats. There are 88 ghats in Varanasi and each one is famous for one element. It is not possible to cruise along all the 88 ghats. The cruise will cover all top ghats. Once you land on the shore, you will be taken on a temple tour. Early morning is the right time to visit temples as it is the time of rituals. Top temples chosen are Kashi Vishwanath temple, SankatMochan Hanuman temple, Bharat Mata temple, Annapurna temple, BHU and ManasMandir. After the temple tour, you will be escorted to the hotel for breakfast and rest.

By early afternoon, you will be taken on a road trip to Sarnath. Sarnath is just 15 km away from Varanasi. You will reach Saranth in just 30 minutes. You will be taken on a trip that covers main Buddha temples, Chaukhandi stupa, Dhamekha stupa, museum and others. The museum contains Aartifacts, statues, arts and others

. You will be taken back to Varanasi by evening and the rest of the day is yours. You can take up shopping in Varanasi or go for sightseeing on your own. Top items to buy in Varanasi are deity statues, brass works, Banaras silk material, incense items and others.

Varanasi – Bodh Gaya

After breakfast, you will be taken on a trip to Bodhgaya. The road trip stretches for 6 hours to reach Bodhgaya, which is 600 km away from Varanasi. Once you reach Bodhgaya, you will be escorted to a pre-booked hotel. Top Buddhist spots covered in the sightseeing are Bodhi tree, Maha Bodhi temple and Buddha Statue. Top Hinduism pilgrim spots covered are Vaishali, HaleshwarAsthan, Janki temple, SitaKund and others.

Gaya - Varanasi

After breakfast, you will be taken on a trip to Gaya which 12 km away from Bodhgaya. Gaya is famous for the presence of Lord Vishnu’s footprint. Today, the footprint can be seen in Vishnupad temple. The sightseeing tour covers Vishnu temple, Vishnupad temple, Chinese temple, Tibetan temple, Japanes temple and Phalguna River.

You will be taken back to Varanasi on road. It takes 6 hours to reach Varanasi. Once your reach Varanasi, you will be checked into a hotel.

Varanasi - Allahabad - Varanasi

After breakfast, you will be taken on a trip to Allahabad. It takes 3 hours to reach Allahabad from Varanasi. You will be taken on a sightseeing trip immediately. Sangam is the first spot in the trip. This is the place where River Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati. It is a holy place for Hindus and you can find numerous people performing rituals and taking holy dips in the shallow waters. Other top attractions covered in the trip are AnandBhavan, Hanuman temple and SwarajBhawan. SawajBhawan is the house of late Indira Gandhi. AnandBhavan is a mosque built in the memory of Nehru.

You will be taken back to Varanasi by late evening. If desired, you can take up a boat trip to Varanasi from Allahabad or, join the rest on a road trip.
