Taj Mahal is the pride of Agra and hence there are numerous transport facilities available within the city which takes you to the monument. If you want to pass the markets and feel the local life while travelling to Taj Mahal, you may hire a rickshaw. Tempo, taxi and auto-rickshaw are the faster modes of transport to reach Taj Mahal.
If you want to tour all by your own then hire a bicycle to explore the place. As fuel based vehicles are not permitted within the vicinity of Taj Mahal hence battery operated buses and horse driven tongas are also used to reach Taj Mahal. Riding on horse driven tongas is a unique experience and as the vehicle runs through the old lanes of Agra, you seem to travel back in time.
